Artist's Description
This custom piece graces the walls of a beautiful wine room. "One Glass Too Many - Cabernet" is a commissioned piece. The home owner chose his favorite wineries/brands for me to incorporate within the piece. The painting actually includes wine labels as well as famous wine quotes and it tells the story of the life cycle of wine. The wine life cycle begins with the wine country and the harvesting of the grapes. Then the wine lives in the barrels, followed by bottles. Once the bottle is opened, the wine finds itself in a glass or two...In this case, the wine lover had one too many and the contents spill throughout the canvas. The original mixed media painting includes a variety of materials and collage techniques as well as paint, glass tiles, resin, for the wine glass surface, handmade papers and text. This work of art is a perfect gift for any wine lover or art enthusiast.
