Artist's Description
Coral and Turquoise by Debi Starr displays many techniques and materials incorporated into a stunning mixed media creation. The artist hand painted tissue papers to lay the groundwork for the painting. These were then layered to create the depth and glow from behind. The piece also beholds handmade papers, hand textured wood shapes, embossed foils, and even etched metal all created by the artist herself. The strong composition and complimentary color combination will definitely make a statement on any wall. The original painting is a commissioned piece for a newly decorated room.

Dreams really do come true! StarrStruck Gallery & Studio, located in Clear Lake Shores, Texas is now a reality for artist, Debi Starr. Debi, a native Houstonian, has been creating art her whole life. She graduated from The High School for the Performing and Visual Arts before heading to the windy city to attend The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She holds a BFA as well as her Teaching Certificate in Art Education and she has successfully built her reputation as an artist and a private art teacher.
